As we all experience life through different lenses I use my experience and intuition to tailor a treatment to suit a person’s need at the time.
I have facilitated workshops on Stress Management, TRE and Mindfulness in Thailand and plan to offer this in Ireland.
I am deeply committed to my own psychological and personal growth and regularly attend workshops, retreats and supervision.
I have over fifteen years of experience implementing sustainable tools and practices for holistic mind and body health. After studying holistic therapies and qualifying in a range of therapies such as; Swedish Body Massage, Reflexology, Anatomy and Physiology, Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Nutrition, Hot Stone Massage, Sports Massage etc. I worked as a massage therapist and Reiki healer for a number of years. I went to India in 2012 and trained as a Hatha Yoga teacher and in 2021 I trained to be a Yin Yoga teacher in Thailand.
I had studied Stress management in College and this area of mental health is where I have focussed my learning and understanding after witnessing the effects of stress and anxiety on the mind and body. I have spent the previous six years working in the mental health industry in Thailand. Working with and supporting clients in recovery from addiction, PTSD and poor mental health. I have facilitated groups in Stress Management, Time Management, Diet and Exercise, Mindfulness and Meditation, Sleep Hygiene and Yoga Nidra in three of the Rehabilitation Centres I worked in Chiang Mai.
I studied to be a TRE (Trauma/Tension Release Exercise) Provider as I realised how somatic work and stress release was a game changer for the clients I worked with. TRE was part of the program along with talk therapy in the private rehabilitation clinics. I travelled to Bali in 2018 to do Advanced TRE Training with Dr David Berceli the TRE founder. I now do TRE regularly myself and feel the benefits in my everyday life and with my other practices. I continued to study on how the body holds a record of all trauma and stresses we encounter through life, specialising in the area of anxiety, trauma, depression, recovery from addiction and low self-esteem.
I worked in a holistic centre and in treatment centres offering TRE both in group and private settings. When the centres closed I was offered TRE work online and was delighted to be able help clients during lockdown. Having worked in a specialised trauma unit within a private health clinic I have gained in-depth experience with individuals who have been impacted by complex trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
